Norton 360 still getting pop ups

Ok same issue here, After reading through this thread it has become painfully obvious that Norton do not care. Interesting to see how long this goes on and how many customers will migrate away from Norton. Sad as I was about to recommend Norton be installed on all company laptops.

In the Settings window, click Administrative Settings , then view or change the default settings: Special Offer Notification : When On , your Norton product notifies you about promotions, discounts, or special deals.

Gina Wilson5: Yep I am ditching Norton. Kbennett65 Contributor 4. Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread.

I have the same question Report abuse. You can get it by purchasing a subscription and downloading and installing it on your device.

Pop-ups are a kind of advertising on the internet. These advertisements are often annoying since they appear without you requesting them, but they can also contain viruses that can damage your device. So most people decide to set up a pop-up blocker or disable pop-ups to prevent this from happening. Norton software will send you pop-up notifications about performing scans and tasks, inform you about your previous activity, or make special offers.

These notifications can be annoying because you have to wait for them to disappear. Norton will send a report every 30 days to inform you about the actions and tasks performed during this period. The only thing this did was delay the return for about 12 hours.

I am not running any Symantec software on my PC, ergo, the issue seems to be embedded in the Windows upgrade. Norton is supposed to be a virus removal product, however it is clinging to WIdows in a manner that suggests that IT is a virus. Any ideas on how to get this finally off of my platform? Sorry for the trouble! Was this reply helpful?
